Vinyl Wine Bar

Markris Wine Group is proud to announce the opening of our wine bar concept called Vinyl. Our idea with Vinyl is to have a space where we can introduce people of San Francisco to delicious wines, beers and food from many local producers (look for our Markris Negociant Pinot Noir), growers, brewers, and farmers in a fun, casual space blending wine, beer, food and music together to create a memorable experience. Stay tuned for events we will be having at Vinyl, expect live  music nights, food truck nights, wine maker tastings, beer maker tastings and anything else we can possibly come up with to make Vinyl the destination place for anything wine/food/beer related. We look forward to seeing everyone there!!

Hello Everyone, Saison is now accepting reservations on OpenTable.com – we are still adding information on the base site – but we are live for all your reservation needs!!

In the ongoing trend of chefs thinking outside the box, Saison—a Sunday night “restaurant” put on by Kris Esqueda, former Michael Mina sommelier Mark Bright and chef Joshua Skenes—has been luring diners from all over the city to a urban-cool space tucked behind the Stable Café in the Mission District.

The definition of “restaurant” is changing in these challenging times. The tiny, 25-seat space is open only on Sundays for two dinner seatings, but is expected to add Saturday dinner service in another month or so.

SAISON

Saison means season in the French language and represents our core principles of seasonality, sustainability and integrity. Saison is the brainchild of Chef Joshua Skenes, Sommelier Mark Bright and Business Partner Kris Esqueda. It is a project that has been passionately crafted over the past several years since Bright and Skenes first met while working at Stonehill Tavern in the St. Regis Dana Point. Saison is a place where one can come and dine on the finest local bounty and where wines are poured with the same care as a Michelin starred restaurant yet be totally at ease in a casual environment. We have decided that we should remove the unnecessary frou-frou and provide what is most important to us in a dining experience. At Saison we hope to provide a sense of comfort as if you were invited into to a good friends home.
